McQueen goes gothic for A/W15● FashionBy Sunday World
Alexander McQueen showed some gothic Victoriana collection at Paris, france Fashion Week yesterday.
The overdue designer's brand, now helmed to Sarah Burton, presented its menacingly beautiful Autumn/Winter 15 collection relating to the penultimate day of shows.
Choices looked like china dolls on the walkway with their porcelain complexions and pilot eyebrows courtesy of make-up artist Apt McGrath, while their hair was tempted into a dishevelled style that protruded from their heads.
The clothing harked in to a bygone era. There were ruffles and intricate stitching on offer, and also distinctly modern touches added love making appeal.
One girl wore some red leather bralet-top dress for matching elbow-length gloves. Another is in a blush-pink ruffled gown possessing a high neck, which would have been reserved had it not been for the keyhole cut-out at the chest, which exhibited a lacy black bra.
A notably striking outfit came in the form of some blood red dress with rose-like ruffles making up the skirt associated with bodice. The look was finished at a distance with black ankle boots.
There have been outfits were so feminine yet, with androgynous style making its way within few of the pieces on offer. One mannequin wore a structured black blazer for nothing underneath apart from a brown bra with a halter strap. Excellent leggings and ankle boots finished this look.
According to Style. com, Sarah's show notes said the collection would definitely convey "the frayed nature involved with reality and the beauty of imperfection". Eye shadow artist Pat commented that this channel was all about adding "softness".
