LG ELECTRONICS unveils Music Flow Wi-Fi studio monitors with smartphone controls

LG may possibly launch a new series of WiFi-enabled studio monitors in early 2015. The LG Bands Flow speakers are designed to work on an individual's or together: if you have multiple studio monitors they can work together to provide fuller sound recording.

They're also designed to work with apps for Android and iOS phones which allow a Music Flow speaker to automatically begin playing your music when you bring the phone within one foot of the speaker.

For example if you're listening to music on headphones, you can walk into your house, approach your speaker and the music will automatically start playing from a speaker instead.

You can also use messaging app LINE to send messages to a speaker letting it know which songs to play. According to LG's press release, the LINE feature supports commands including "turn off music after one hour" and "play songs for party. "

LG's new  Music Flow models  include a Model H4 portable, battery-powered speaker, the HS7 and HS9 Sound Bars, and the BP550 Streaming 3D Blu-ray Player.

Each supports dual-band WiFi and support for streaming content from online services including Spotify, TuneIn, Deezer, and Napster.

LG will show off the Music Flow type of speakers at CES in January. Maybe we'll find out how much these speakers will cost around that time.

You can find already a few Music Flow speakers available for pre-order for $180 through $350, but the new models should include the first battery-powered model and the initial sound bars.
